This is a great time to get to know each other, meet the group and start soaking up the atmosphere of Peru. For those who still have energy after the flight, there is an opportunity to explore a bit of Lima’s nightlife.
After breakfast we begin our introduction to colonial Lima — the “City of Kings.” Our sightseeing tour includes the city’s most iconic landmarks: Lima’s Main Square, the impressive Cathedral, San Martín Square, the Presidential Palace, and the San Francisco Monastery with its beautiful arcaded courtyards and fascinating catacombs, along with other remarkable architectural monuments of the colonial era. We will also visit the modern business district of Lima, where you can enjoy stunning panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean and experience the vibrant contrast between historic and contemporary Lima.
After breakfast at the hotel, we transfer to the airport and take a flight to Cusco — the ancient capital of the Inca Empire. The flight takes about 1.5 hours. Upon arrival, we check into our hotel and then begin our introduction to this legendary city. Cusco, once the glorious heart of the Inca civilization, is considered one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world. Located at an altitude of about 3,400 meters (11,150 ft) above sea level, it impresses with its unique atmosphere, stone streets, and incredible historical heritage. We will enjoy a city sightseeing tour, exploring the main landmarks and learning about the city’s fascinating history and culture. After the tour, we return to the hotel to relax and acclimatize.
Full-Day Tour to the Sacred Valley of the Incas (Tour starts at 09:00) Today we head to the Sacred Valley of the Incas, the cradle of the Inca civilization. This full-day excursion offers breathtaking scenery, ancient history and vibrant local culture. Our journey begins in Pisac, famous for its spectacular agricultural terraces and impressive archaeological complex, including the Temple of the Sun and the Moon. You will walk among the dramatic hillside ruins and enjoy magnificent panoramic views of the valley below. Pisac is also well known for its traditional handicraft market, where locals from nearby villages come dressed in colorful national clothing to sell ceramics, carpets, sweaters, silver jewelry and beautiful handmade souvenirs. This is a great opportunity to experience authentic Andean culture and take home something special. Beyond its archaeological treasures, the Sacred Valley delights visitors with its extraordinarily picturesque landscapes, fertile fields and majestic mountain views that create an unforgettable atmosphere. In the afternoon, we transfer to the railway station and take a train to Machu Picchu, where our next unforgettable adventure begins.
Machu Picchu Visit — Early Departure (06:00) Early in the morning we head to the bus station, where a shuttle will take us up to the entrance of the legendary “Lost City of the Incas” — Machu Picchu. The ride follows a winding mountain road with breathtaking views over the Urubamba River canyon and takes about 20 minutes. Machu Picchu will welcome you with its impressive agricultural terraces, ceremonial complexes, temples, stairways and residential structures. The site radiates a powerful mystical energy, and the panoramic views are truly unforgettable — a place where history, nature and mystery come together. Around lunchtime, we descend to the nearby town, have lunch, and then take the train back to Cusco. Arrival in Cusco is scheduled for around 19:00. In the evening we celebrate New Year’s Eve in one of Cusco’s cozy restaurants — a wonderful and atmospheric way to welcome the new year in the heart of the Andes.
Vinicunca, also known as the Rainbow Mountain or the Mountain of Seven Colors, is one of Peru’s most fascinating natural wonders. Its multicolored layers were formed millions of years ago from red sandstone, which, under the influence of underground waters and mineral deposits, gained different shades and created this unique “painted” landscape. While many travelers know about the famous rainbow mountains in China, few realize that Peru has its own spectacular version. In the Quechua language, Vinicunca literally means “the mountain of rainbow colors.” The world only learned about this place quite recently: according to local residents, the mountain was previously covered with snow, and only due to global warming and the melting of snow its colorful slopes were revealed. The first tourists visited here only in 2016, and since then Rainbow Mountain has rapidly become one of Peru’s most impressive and increasingly popular attractions. This is an active high-altitude excursion, ranging from 4,000 to 5,200 meters above sea level. We recommend this trip only to participants who feel comfortable at altitude after the previous days in the Andes. If someone is unsure about their physical condition, it is absolutely fine to stay in Cusco, relax, enjoy a peaceful walk around the city, do some shopping or simply take a rest.
After breakfast at the hotel, we transfer to the bus station and depart on a scheduled tourist bus at 08:00 (arrival around 16:00). Our journey follows the famous “Route of the Sun”, crossing the vast Altiplano Plateau on the way to Puno, a city located on the shores of the magnificent high-altitude Lake Titicaca at about 3,800 meters above sea level. This exceptionally scenic road passes through dramatic Andean landscapes, surrounded by snowy mountain peaks and traditional highland settlements. Along the way you will see local Quechua and Aymara communities, llamas and graceful alpacas grazing on the plains — a truly authentic Andean experience. Upon arrival in Puno, we check into the hotel and rest. You will have free time to acclimatize, relax or explore the city at your own pace.
After breakfast at the hotel, we head to the port of Puno. At 07:00, we depart by boat across the legendary Lake Titicaca to the fascinating Uros Islands. Here you will visit unique indigenous communities, learn about their traditional lifestyle and see the famous floating reed islands made from totora reeds — a truly remarkable cultural experience. We then continue by boat (approximately 2.5 hours) to Taquile Island, where you will get acquainted with the authentic culture and traditions of the island’s inhabitants, renowned for their hospitality and exceptional textile craftsmanship. Return to Puno is scheduled for around 17:00. Free time and rest.

Today we head out on an exciting excursion to Colca Canyon, one of the deepest canyons in the world, where thousands of travelers come every year for one special reason — to witness the majestic flight of the Andean condor, the symbolic bird of the Andes. In Inca mythology, the condor was considered a sacred creature representing the upper, celestial world, while the puma symbolized the earthly world and the snake represented the underworld. The condor remains an important cultural and spiritual symbol of the Andes to this day. This magnificent bird is also the largest flying bird in the world. Its body length reaches 100–120 cm, and its wingspan can extend up to an impressive 3.3 meters. Condors are also the heaviest flying birds, with adult males weighing on average 11–15 kg. Watching them glide effortlessly over the canyon on rising air currents is an unforgettable and truly breathtaking experience. In the evening, we return to Arequipa for rest.
After breakfast, we check out from the hotel and begin our journey along the famous Pan-American Highway toward the Nazca Plateau. This scenic route offers views of dramatic desert landscapes and the Pacific coastline along the way. Departure from Arequipa is scheduled between 08:00–09:00, with arrival in Nazca in the evening, around 18:00–19:00. Upon arrival, we check into the hotel and rest.
After breakfast, we head to the local airport, where we take a scenic flight over the mysterious Nazca Lines in a small aircraft. During a 30–40 minute flight, you will see the world-famous geoglyphs — enormous shapes of animals, birds, plants and geometric figures, visible only from the air and still surrounded by mystery and legends. After the flight over the plateau, we continue our journey to Paracas, located on the coast of the Pacific Ocean. Arrival in Paracas is expected around 16:00–17:00. Hotel check-in and rest.
Paracas – Ballestas Islands Cruise & Transfer to Lima After breakfast, at 08:00 we depart on a boat trip to the Ballestas Islands, a protected wildlife sanctuary teeming with marine birds and animals. Here you may see colonies of boobies, penguins, pelicans, cormorants, sea lions, dolphins and many other fascinating species. The boat tour lasts about two hours and offers fantastic opportunities for photography and wildlife observation. Upon returning to shore, we continue our adventure by land and travel into the Paracas National Reserve, where you’ll discover some of the most spectacular Pacific coastline scenery in Peru. We will enjoy lunch by the ocean and take in the dramatic desert-meets-sea landscapes. In the evening, we drive back to Lima, check into the hotel and rest.
After breakfast, we check out from the hotel by 11:00. You will have some free time until your flight — to relax, stroll around the city, or do some last-minute shopping. At the scheduled time, you will be transferred to the airport for your international flight home. End of the program — see you on your next adventure!
